Accessibility Connections

Reducing the transportation cost burden is a critical step on the path to self-sufficiency and accessing health and human services.

RTD discount programs

Discount fares are available for all seniors 65+, individuals with disabilities, Medicare recipients, and youth (ages 6-19). Children five years of age or younger ride free with a fare-paying adult (limit three children with each fare-paying adult). An income-based fare discount is available for qualifying riders who enroll in RTD’s LiVE ProgramActive duty members of the U.S. military ride for free on all RTD services. Proof of eligibility is required for all passengers using discounted fare products.

Digital Divide

Computers and the Internet create connections, provide access and have the potential to improve life. Bridging the Digital Divide was born out of a collective recognition by Boulder County community organizations that, as more resources and information become available exclusively online, members of communities that are not connected are falling behind. With more transit services using computers and smartphones, addressing the digital divide is an important element of providing transportation connections.

Seniors & Disabilities

Not all transit is equally accessible. To fill the gap, seniors and persons with disabilities have more options to get where they need to go. For a list of resources, visit Boulder County's Mobility for All website.
